When

Noon – 6 p.m., Sept. 1 – 2, 2025

Where

As part of the Santa Cruz River Dragonfly Festival, the art installation Landing Place, debuted in May at the downtown Heritage Project, will be on display at 4 locations for the month of September.

Landing Place uses handmade windsocks to raise the visibility of plants and animals that have returned with the introduction of reclaimed water to the Heritage Reach through downtown Tucson in recent years. Each design magnifies details from the living landscape and highlights the Santa Cruz River as a “landing place,” a site of layered ecological and human history and the very reason Tucson exists.

The windsocks will be displayed at the locations of Dragonfly Tours along the Santa Cruz River during the month of September.
