River Run Network Creek Walk: Explore the Santa Cruz River Heritage Outfalls

Come explore the Santa Cruz River near Starr Pass Boulevard! This area has year-round flow thanks to an outfall of flow from Tucson Water. The walk will be led by Lauren  Knight, WMG’s River Run Network Program Manager and Joe Cain, Tucson Water Hydrologist, to learn about the history of the flow in this area, the plants, animals, insects and more that are thriving due to this flow. This area can be muddy and a bit rocky to reach, especially during monsoon season. Please be prepared to walk over unstable ground, get your feet wet and enjoy this beautiful gem in our desert!
