University High School field trip: Sustainability students at University High School spent the morning at the Santa Cruz River with the Living River of Words Program, mixing art and science. Students collected water quality data, and worked with photographers to capture the river with cameras.
Days of Connection gets started: On January 17, Danny Lopez Park hosted the first Day of Connection for the Santa Cruz River Watershed. Community members enthusiastically helped clean up and beautify the park.
Field trip to Tumacácori: Students from Ha:san Preparatory and Leadership School spent the morning at Tumacácori National Historical Park learning about the parks cultural and natural significance. Students visited various parts of the park, including the Santa Cruz River.
