USFWS signs bi-county agreement to conserve the Santa Cruz River ecosystem

USFWS Director Martha Williams visited southern Arizona to unveil a bi-county partnership, which is a step towards designating Arizona’s newest national wildlife refuge. 

In a collaborative effort to revitalize the Santa Cruz River, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) entered into a Wildlife Partnership agreement with Pima County, Santa Cruz County, and the City of Tucson, made official at a signing ceremony hosted at the Historic Canoa Ranch on Thursday.
