SBAR Loteria

The Sustainable Bioeconomy for Arid Regions Project (SBAR) published SBAR lotería with southwestern images and bioeconomy concepts. Playing cards are in English, Spanish, and selected cards in language of the Tohono O'odham.

The lotería, or lottery in English, is a game of chance. This game is similar to bingo but with images. The game originated in Europe, and it was brought to Mexíco by Spanish explorers in the 1700s. Throughout the years, the images on the lotería game have changed. In the SBAR lotería, we have changed the images once again to showcase arid lands and the SBAR project.
